Why FANIS?
Food Systems and nutrition are by nature complex. There are often multiple actors involved. However, the information needed by or generated by various actors in food systems and nutrition are not often easily accessible. Yet, there is much evidence that is generated and locked behind institutional cabinets and on computers. Unless you know someone in that institution, it is difficult to access that information. But it should not be like that. FANIS addresses this anomaly by democratizing the food system and nutrition information landscape using the power of data and information communication systems
